Bubbling Wall Repair in Clementi

A wall that had been repainted twice in three years, taken back to sound material and rebuilt properly.

Plaster blown off a wall exposing the brickwork behind

The owner had repainted the same living room wall twice and watched it bubble both times. Plaster walls bubbling is almost never a paint problem — it is moisture behind the surface or a coat that went over something unsound.

We hacked back to solid material, which took the failure out to roughly twice the area the paint had shown, traced the damp to a planter box detail on the balcony side, and made that good before rebuilding the wall.

The wall was then cement-plastered, skimmed and left the full drying window before it took primer. Slower than a repaint, and the last time it needs doing.
