Furniture taken apart at one address and rebuilt at the next, with the fittings kept with the piece they belong to.
Two beds, a wardrobe, a bookcase and a dining table had to come apart to get out of the old unit and go back together at the new one.
Each piece was taken down with its fittings bagged and labelled to it, which is the difference between a rebuild and a hunt through a box of screws. Panels were wrapped at the edges, where flat-pack damage always happens.
Two of the joints had been opened before and would not have held a third time; we told the owner before rebuilding and reinforced them rather than handing back a wardrobe that would loosen in a month.

A wardrobe run built in a room too tight to lay the frames flat, anchored properly and the packaging taken away.
A tired mortice lock swapped for a digital one, with the door edge made good so the new plate sat flat.
