Meeting Room Display Mounting in the CBD
Four displays hung on partition walls that could not take them, using backing plates set into the studs.
The client wanted a 55-inch display in each meeting room, and every room was a stud partition — a wall that will hold a picture frame and not much more.
Rather than trusting hollow anchors with a screen and a bracket on them, we opened up and fitted a plywood backing plate across the studs in each room, made good, and mounted into that. It takes an extra hour a room and it is the difference between a fixing that holds and one that pulls out in a year.
Power and HDMI were run in trunking to the table position and the heights were set standing rather than seated, since these get used from the front of the room.
